Fault Lines Festival

ClassAction’s Fault Lines Festival in February 2026 was a celebration of contemporary drama. Reminding audiences that Art isn’t here to behave; it’s here to shake the comfortable and hold the disturbed. The festival focused on making Fault Lines loud, with work that mattered.

Over three nights, ClassAction met at the fault lines and dived in head first, and the work was dynamic, nuanced, tender and powerful. It spoke to the head and touched the heart.

Training practitioners explored the naturalistic genre through Stanislavski, Uta Hagen and Meisner, and through their craft, shaped wonderful work. From young offenders institutes, laboratories and reformatories, they jumped from themes of exploitation to bullying and civilisation. The work punched, provoked and hit you in the heart.

“Watching ClassAction’s festival of contemporary theatre was a powerful reminder of how committed and focused our training practitioners truly are. Their attention to detail, emotional honesty, and disciplined approach to their craft demonstrated a maturity beyond their years. What stood out most was the care they brought to every choice: each gesture, each pause, each breath was shaped with intention and respect for the style. It is clear that this ensemble is passionate about developing their skills and continually pushing themselves. ClassAction embodies the very best of what dedicated young practitioners can achieve.” Andrew Pullen, Head of Drama.

Young artists are so life affirming, and Fault Lines was a celebration of young voices speaking out about the world as they see it today. We have a strong community of storytellers and of artists at Godalming College.
